Back in June, Jhongy posted a pack of these. I didn't realize that until I started typing in the label for this one. So, in the name of building our virtual collection on here, I opted to post these anyway. And, the last card in the pack is worth the wait...
I cannot believe there was a duplicate in a pack of six cards... And I present the "cou de crayon" (for those that watch cartoons):
The set was actually released by Donruss under a sub-license to Factors Etc. Boxcar Enterprises was Col. Tom Parker's (Elvis' manager) company that handled merchandising.
I know all this, because back in the 80s, my dad worked for Factors.
It is an odd set. I can't imagine people buying any of those today under the same circumstances. Then again, there will never be the same circumstances that surrounded Elvis.
