1991-1992 Kayo Boxing Round One

The first and only Kayo boxing card set. I will post the W/L records listed on back of their cards and the current W/L record.

147 - Myung-Woo Yuh (36-0-0; 14 KOs; WBA World Jr. Flyweight champion) - current record: 38-1-0; 14 KOs; his last fight in 1993

239 - Pedro Sanchez (15-0-1; 10 KOs) - current record: 32-6-3; 20 KOs; his last fight in 2000

240 - Akeem Anifowoshe (23-1-0; 18 KOs) - same stats as back on the card

229 - Paul Hodkinson (18-1-1; 18 KOs) - current stats: 22-3-1; 21 KOs; his last fight in 1994

227 - Robbie Sims (32-8-2; 22 KOs) - current record: 38-10-2; 26 KOs; his last fight in 1996

182 - Oliver McCall (16-4-0; 10 KOs) - current record: 55-11-0; 37 KOs. Still boxing to this day. Beat Lennox Lewis in 1994 for WBC Heavyweight title but known for his meltdown during the rematch.

49 - Bruce Strauss - card of boxing's all-time greatest loser. Said to be only boxer to be knocked out in every continent except Antarctica.

105 - Steve Martinez (19-0-1; 17 KOs) - current record: 47-6-1; 29 KOs; his last fight in 2005

75 - Robert Wangila (16-1-0; 12 KOs) - current record: 22-5-0; 16 KOs; his last fight in 1994

86 - Ray Mancini (29-4-0; 23 KOs) - still the same. Forever known for Duk-Koo Kim fight which Kim died. The match affected his life.

139 - Michael Buffer - Llllllllet's get ready to rumbllllllllllle!

46 - Michael Dokes (41-3-2; 27 KOs) - current record: 56-3-2; 34 KOs; his last fight in 1997

173 - Saoul Mamby (42-23-6; 19 KOs) - current record: 45-34-6; 19 KOs; his last fight in 2008. Talk about overstaying in the ring.

231 - Junior Jones (15-0-0; 11 KOs) - current record 50-6-0; 28 KOs; his last fight in 2002. He really up the win total X3.

  2. Nice post! Didn't know anything before about Bruce Strauss or Duk-Koo Kim but after a quick Wiki-read I was updated, thanks for the introduction.
