PressTine Baseball

Here is another dollar store product much in the vein of the Cards One packs that they used to carry. This appears on the surface to be a completely different company, but as you'll see they seem to take the same kind of approach to their so-called product. Admittedly, the primary reason I purchased this pack is because of this PressTine company's ridiculous slogan: The Best of All Times! Apparently I will get All The Stars Past & Present in this pack, so let's check it out.

2009 Upper Deck - 703 - Hong-Chih Kuo

1990 Score - 270 - Bruce Hurst

1994 Donruss - 455 - Domingo Cedeno

1988 Topps - 245 - Rich Gedman

1993 Score Select - 181 - Kal Daniels

1992 Donruss - 82 - Chris James

1986 Topps Traded - 102T - Ted Simmons

2001 Fleer Premium - 110 - Jose Offerman (I don't think I'm familiar with this set.)

1983 Topps - 137 - Woodie Fryman (Fryman already looked like more of a coach than a player at this point in his career.)

1992 Leaf - 39 - Charlie Hough

1990 Donruss - 316 - Mike Scioscia

1999 Bowman - 308 - Jason Phillips

1988 Topps - 338 - Brian Holton

1994 Leaf - 376 - Jody Reed (Looks like the gold stamp alignment was slightly off on this card, or perhaps it was miscut.)

1989 Fleer - 598 - Charlie Puleo

2008 Upper Deck - 662 - Troy Percival

1989 Fleer - 28 - Wally Backman

2003 Donruss The Rookies - 48 - Ryan Wagner

1991 O-Pee-Chee Premier - 28 - Danny Darwin (Shouldn't it be O-Pee-Chee Premiere?)

1991 Topps Stadium Club - 215 - Greg Colbrunn

1990 Classic Blue - 53 - Jerry Browne (Classic? Really? And yes, if you're counting - and I'm sure you are - this makes 21 cards. Bonus for me, I guess?)

  1. Stars Past & Present. Check.
Vibrant, Full Action Game Shots. Check.
Know-It-All Facts and Stats. Check. But weirdly phrased.

    And much more! Still waiting.

  3. Maybe I should pack up my junk wax and ship it to China for pack out. How else can you have a brand called "PressTine", with that slogan, which makes no sense at all. I thought tines are what are on the business end of a dinner fork.

Maybe I'll start a brand called GoFurst, and my slogan will be "Me? No! You go first!"
