This is the fifth year for Upper Deck and their Artifacts line. When it first hit stores back in 2005, it was one of Upper Decks only foray into the high end product for hockey. At about $9 a pack back then, the big draw was the chance at serial numbered Crosby rookies, as well as a "hit" in almost every pack.
Fast forward five years and you have the latest edition in the stable of Upper Deck hockey products. My how things have changed though. No longer the High End product it had once been, Artifacts is now notorious for yielding almost nothing beyond the stated print runs. I think I beat the odds on this one though.

Same prototypical design as in years past, although for some odd reason, this year seems cleaner. They toned down on the foil this year too. Nothing like a pack full of goalies. It will be interesting to see how long the redemption takes.
Either way, I kind of like it.
