The siren call of the card aisle at Wal-Mart claimed another victim today. I was drawn in and then, along with toilet paper, a Kit-Kat bar, and a ball of twine, I brought a rack pack of 2010 Topps Series 1 Baseball home (somewhere, MacGyver nods knowingly, seeing the ingredients for a lightweight hovercraft in my grocery bag).
I ended up with 29 base cards (including 5 rookie cards), 5 inserts, 1 Topps Town thingamabob, and a Million Card Giveaway thingamajig.
I'm still not wild about the base set this year.

I was really looking for one of the Blue Back inserts. Oh well...
Johnny Damon - When They Were Young
Alex Gordon - The Cards Your Mom Threw Out (seeing a few of these on the blogs lately...)
Hank Greenburg - Turkey Red (always liked Turkey Red)
Justin Morneau - Peak Performance
Ozzie Smith/Jose Reyes - Legendary Lineage (nice looking subset)
Andrew McClutchen - ToppsTown
And that's all folks!
