1978 Donruss Boxcar Elvis

Back in June, Jhongy posted a pack of these. I didn't realize that until I started typing in the label for this one. So, in the name of building our virtual collection on here, I opted to post these anyway. And, the last card in the pack is worth the wait...

I cannot believe there was a duplicate in a pack of six cards...

And I present the "cou de crayon" (for those that watch cartoons):

1978 Boxcar Elvis Presley

Last week, I highlighted the 1978 Donruss Kiss card set. While Kiss was definitely hot at the time, the King was and will always be Elvis Presley. Boxcar produced a 66 card set of Presley in 1978. Each pack had 6 cards and 1 piece of gum. A few different borders and styles were used. Color and black/white photos were intermixed.

Early Elvis.
A classic pose.
An early headshot.
This is not a bad scan. The picture is blurred.
Later Elvis in concert (in jumpsuit).
Jailhouse Rock.
The card backs featured Elvis facts or info on his records.
