1997 Topps Screen Plays Baseball

Here a product I never heard about. Topps Screen Plays featuring 1 moving action card much like Sportflics. For $7 for a pop at card shop let's see what I got.

This is back on the tin showing checklist of who's in it. When I open the seal underneath the checklist its...

Chipper Jones which one of six players on premium series. I know I'm getting his card. On back of the checklist....

....a profile of Chipper Jones along with how to display the card. As for the card....

I have to peel it to see it. After peeling it I got this....

As for the action shown you via webcam.

Looks like it was poorly execute product. Didn't work for Sportflics at the time it didn't work for Topps.

I used to have a Paul Molitor that I actually traded recently. I thought these were neat - the cards are a little too scann-y/line-y but the idea was interesting.

I actually liked these a lot too. I'm in the same camp as Mooss!

I was always big on the odd ball stuff. I have one of these in my Thome collection.

I have three of these, Bagwell, Bonds and Thome. I like them a lot. Much nicer than Sportflics. They were pricey however. I've had trouble with the foam the cards were packed into. I had kept them in their packaging and the foam started to deteriorate and stick to the cards.

I have the Jim Thome and love it. Once of the coolest conversation pieces I have. Well, to me anyway. :-)

Whoa. Seven bucks?! The whole set should be available for that these days for forgotten (but admittedly cool-in-person) product like this.
