Tucked away on the shelf where I normally get my bargain priced mid-'90s baseball junk packs were a curious lot of "Baseball Quarter" packs with the same familiar 50 cent price. Dare I try one? Of course I dare. Just one, though, because I have no idea what this product is. Each pack apparently providers a "colorized statehood" quarter with a baseball player on it. Let's check it out.
And hey... what do y'know? I couldn't have picked a better pack. My quarter turned out to be THE Albert Pujols. Speaking of currency, hopefully the Cardinals have the ability to print their own money because they're going to need to lock up Mr. Pujols here soon before my head explodes. This is an actual quarter that is painted on as you can see some of the etchings peeking through.
The back of the quarter didn't scan so well, so if you can't tell by the image it's an old Missouri quarter that was released in 2003.
But wait... there's more! Here's the special bonus offer! Look at all of the fun players you can get!
#1 Collectible in U.S. History. Chew on that for awhile.
This is almost trying to be an actual baseball card here. Hey, it's something I can put in my Cardinals binder at least.
Some true facts about the great state of Missouri. Hopefully they are true, anyway. I have my suspicions considering the "#1 Collectible in U.S. History" card seen previously.

Great luck pulling your guy. Now, stay far, far away! Although, you get half your money back right away, so that beats most packs.
I don't know why, but I almost find those cool. Next time you're at that shop pick up a pack for me. I'm sure we'll deal soon enough again!
those coins are pretty neat. Looks like you came out on top with this break
My girlfriend actually bought me a pack of those once (from a Walgreens, of all places), and not only did I pull the quarter of my guy Griffey Jr., but it was also one of the GOLD quarters! Of all the products to get a rare pull of my favorite player...
I'll see if they have any left. I am going to pick up some random "prizes" at that card shop and next weekend's card show, hopefully.
I'd totally buy this stuff at $.50 cents a pack... I love oddballs! I'm bummed that I've never seen this product anywhere. Congratulations on pulling your guy.
I have alot of these coins, some gold, from derek jeter to babe ruth. Probably close to 50 coins and can give list of all players to those who are interested in buying. or if anyone knows where i can find out what these coins are worth. Cant find them anywhere
Does anyone have a complete checklist of these cards? If so,could you email it to me at cheetah19_62@hotmail.com? I would like to post it on the trading card database. Many thanks in advance.
