2021 Topps Allen and Ginter Chrome Hobby Pack

Next up on my small pack purchase from my recent trip to my LCS, Boscos, here in Anchorage, Alaska.  It's a great shop and if you happen to be up in the Great White North you should stop in.  I picked up a pack of 2021 Allen and Ginter Chrome.  I almost passed as this 4 card pack was about $7 and change, but I had seen a bunch of box breaks and wanted to see some cards in hand.  Autographs from this product are case hits, so I wasn't surprised to not get one.  Let's see what was in the pack.

If you've seen the regular A&G you know the basic design, but the cards do look really nice in hand.

I personally love the odd ball inserts and subjects so it was nice to get this World's Largest insert.  And all these insert minis are on refactor stock.

2021 Topps WWE Heritage Hobby Pack

I was a huge pro wrestling fan in the 80s and early 90s back when it was the WWF.  I really don't follow it much anymore.  But I love the WWE Heritage sets.  There's really something for everyone.  And there are plenty of stars from the 80s and 90s in the set to make me want to actually try and put this set together.  And the last WWE set I put together was the 2012 Heritage set.  I was at my LCS, Boscos, the other day and picked up a couple different packs this being one of them.  Let's see what was inside.

The set uses the 1990 Topps baseball design, which happens to be my favorite 90s Topps set.  Let's have a look.

I've been saying since 2012 how much I would have loved a pure WWE Allen and Ginter set when the 2012 set had the Ginter minis.  This year you get a full size insert and it is by far my favorite.

Plus a got a guy I love to watch back in the day.

And last I got this great Superstar Sticker of Becky Lynch

No auto, but to be honest I love the old 80 WWF sets where the inserts were king so getting 3 in this pack is nice. Especially the two A and G cards.

2021 Topps Stadium Club Chrome Hobby Pack

I need some cardboard boxes for shipping a lot of cards so I stopped by one of my local LCSs, Boscos, here in Anchorage, Alaska.  It had been awhile since I'd been in any shop so I decided to splurge and grab a couple packs while I was there to rip and share.

First up is this hobby exclusive 2021 Topps Stadium Club Chrome.  Usually when it comes to Chrome products Topps pares the checklist down, but this year they added 100 more cards to the checklist.  My main man Robin Yount is in this set as well, but spoiler I didn't pull him.  Each hobby box promises one auto and each pack as an insert or parallel.  Let's see what I got.

First up a little Justus.

This set also has plenty of retired and HOFers.  Like this nice Vlad Sr.  I have a small collection of his cards so this will be going in there.

Here are my other two base cards.

My one parallel is this refractor of rookie Justin Williams.

And the fortunes looked upon me at the card shop as I pulled the one auto out of the new box that was opened that this pack came out of.  On the one hand it's a Yankee, but it's a Yankee that's seen almost as much MLB time as me (and I have none).  Maybe next year will be Clarke's year.

But overall not a bad pack.  I think I'll just stick to picking up singles though this pack was a little pricey.

2018 Funko Harry Potter Mystery Minis Series 3

Hope everyone is well and staying safe.  It's Christmas Eve and we've gone far too long without a pack here.  However, we'll all too busy to post.  That means it's time to grab some archived scans.  And since it's the magical time of year...

Is ol' Jafronius a Harry Potter fan?  No.  Does ol' Jafronius's kids collect Harry Potter?  No again.  So why is ol' Jafronius showing mini Harry Potter Funkos?  Pretty simple...I came across an open package at the Target a few years ago, and took pictures of the contents before turning it in.

This is the third series of Mystery Minis for the franchise, so I assume there's a total of 36 little wizards around by now.  The back of the box shows off who you could get and the odds of getting one:

I have no idea who most of these characters are.  Each character is sealed in a black plastic bag and is loose in the box.  Who did someone try to steal but then decided not to when they opened the pack?

Pretty obvious as to why the would-be thief rejected Harry here, since he's essentially a common figure with a 1 in 6 chance in getting him.  Still, if you were a fan of the books and movies, I assume you still wouldn't mind having him.

Anyway, a short and sweet post for Christmas.  You're welcome.  Merry Christmas everyone, and thanks for reading!
