Happy Monday, everyone! Let's check out some old stickers. At roughly 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches, the 1991 Panini baseball sticker release is one of the smallest versions of this annual set that you'll find. I also found it to be much more elusive than the stickers from other surrounding years.
I ended up picking up a bunch of these at a recent card show, knowing that I was missing the majority of the Cardinals stickers for my team collection. 39 cents? What a value!
257 - Chicago White Sox - We start things off with a foil team sticker. In 1991, the White Sox had just changed their logo to the throwback look that you see here, which to this day I believe is still their primary logo. Considering how they've performed recently, it might be time for another change.
219 - Tony Pena - The regular player stickers come with a little bit of stats on the bottom, but strangely no indication of what team they play for. I guess you'd need the sticker album if you weren't totally sure which team Pena plays for from the photo.
145 - Mark McGwire - Large Mac is clearly an Athletic here.
119 - Sid Bream - Bream is the answer to a certain trivia question based on a big moment he had back in the day.
23 - Charlie Leibrandt - Atlanta is also represented here in this pack.
99 - Tony Gwynn - We finish things off with a little more star power. Gwynn's all-star status is noted on the sticker, but again, there's no mention of the Padres here for whatever reason.
