1991 ProSet PGA Tour Cards

Stopped in to my LCS, Don's Sportcards, here in Anchorage while out running some errands on Saturday.  You never know what you're going to find at Don's.  He just happen to have a table set up heaped with old miscellaneous packs for 50 cents a piece.  I'll be featuring a bunch of them over the next couple weeks. First up is a set I know I never opened a pack of before.  Pro Set's 1991 PGA tour cards.

The cards themselves are acutally quite handsome.  From my small sampling the photograph is great and the overall design is pretty simple.  Not only that but the name banners are color coded.  The main tour gets these minty green banners, the seniors tour gets a darker more teal like color, and they even have gold banners for award winners.  I'll be honest I'm not a huge golf fan and I didn't recongize the majority of the players I pulled.

As promoted on the front of the back every pack featured a 10 cent discount card.

Good to see early 90's Pro Set is being kept alive by these blog posts. Don't think I ever took the time to appreciate these awesome card backs until now.
