1994 Cardz Jim Henson's Muppets Take The Ice

This pack came in a repack of two packs found at my local Dollar Tree a few months ago.

1994 brought the Muppet Show to syndication on Nickelodeon.  And these cards from Cardz.

The set consisted of 80 cards.  8 cards per pack.  Checklist here.
The cards tried to explain the game to kids.  Terms and teams.
Gonzo.  Animal.
The backs are rather rudimentary.

I seem to have hit the Animal jackpot.
And one of Miss Piggy.
A bit of hockey history with Fozzie.
The cards remind me a bit of the 1991 Upper Deck Comic Ball Cards.

These are cooler than the Looney Toons cards. Would love to see MLB Muppets cards.

It kind of reminds me of the old Mutant League games they had on Sega back in the 1990s. Interesting cards for sure.

Interesting how just the single card has a team logo on the front.

Those are some cool cards! I love the Muppets but look at my last name. Unfortunately I am not related to the famous Jim.

I think because that was a "history" card.

I was never a big fan of The Muppets, but I gotta admit these cards are pretty cool. Wouldn't mind finding a SJ Sharks team set.

Add my name to the list of those who think these are great. But...if/when I get some, do I count them towards hockey, or TV/Movie, where my other Muppets cards are? I will need to figure that out at some point! Since I just got into hockey in November 2016, I didn't know the difference between the two kinds of shots yet. I'm already learning something!
