2016 Topps MLB Wacky Packages

I'm going to forgo the randomizer today and just get these up, since their release date was a couple days back. Found a gravity box of them at Target. Didn't pull the White Sox, even with all my pack searching (more on that shortly). But all in all, this is a fun release, even if the price point could be a little better - $2.49 for 10 cards. Still a little high if you are shooting for the children.

Like I said above - I did "pack search". As you see, seeing the first card is simple as the window is clear. But no White Sox shown through. I picked 3 packs, but didn't pull the White Sox in any of the other 27 random cards. Oh well. There are autos and relics within, and parallels too.

Along with the base of 60 (2 stickers per team), you have event cards like this, minor league teams and ballpark food. All combine to a small 90 card set. And really, what more can I say. It's a sticker. The fun is in the image.

Going to blow through the 10 cards fast. I like the Meats option for the Mets. Good Uni-Watch reference.

The Biscuits are one of 15 farms clubs to get the Wacky treatment.

Ditto on the Louisville Bats.

Each pack comes with a grass parallel - just a green border really. It's ok, if not as a waste to make the completists buy more. Flipping it over....

As it should be - a puzzle piece. Like I said - it's fun. Nothing more and nothing less.

it's nice to see that these will be easily distinguishable from the promo ones found in Series 1 and the Spring Fever packs.

Topps hit the nail on the head with this release.

I want the set.

I think I have officially gone wacky... because I'd much rather bust a box of this stuff than a box of Topps Series 1 baseball.
